The school year is back in session now, which means I’ve become swamped with work again. I’m so busy I couldn’t even scratch up a doodle for this post!

Summer ended up being a sort of small break from writing for me–I finally read all the journals I got from AWP19, though. So as my teacher likes to say, I may have not been actively writing nearly as much, but I was studying writing way more.

There’s a lot going on this year that I’m excited about. I’m beginning to look at internships, submitting to more places, and in general getting a better grasp on what I’d like to do in the future.

A few good things have already happened: I created my first chapbook, titled Connected to…, for my Advanced Poetry class, I started writing fiction again, and I created a WordPress site for my school’s Creative Writing Club.

I definitely want to post some of my newer writings here soon, including a poem or two from my chapbook. If you’re interested in receiving one let me know! I can only provide PDFs of it now as I have no more physical copies. I’m selling them for $3.

So that’s about it really. I’m hoping to get everything (my writing, myself) together a bit better this year, and hopefully, this site will reflect that.
